The Legendary Dark Silkie is a blended Irish whiskey from Sliabh Liag Distillers in County Donegal, on Ireland's north-west coast. Unusually for Irish whiskey, it includes triple-distilled peated single malt, blended with unpeated malt and grain whiskeys for a rich, smoky style. The nose shows fresh apple, pear, peppery smoke and oak spice, while the palate offers salted caramel, pipe tobacco, liquorice, dark chocolate and toffee. A characterful dram to sip neat.
