Super Bock is Portugal's best-known lager, brewed since 1927 by the Super Bock Group in Leça do Balio, near Porto. Despite the name, it is a pale, golden pilsner-style lager rather than a German-style bock. It offers a balanced flavour with gentle malt notes, a light hop bitterness and a crisp, clean finish. These handy dumpies are ideal for braais and gatherings; serve well chilled with grilled meat, peri-peri chicken or seafood.
