Pilsner Urquell is the original pilsner, first brewed in Plzeň in the Czech Republic in 1842 and widely regarded as the world's first golden pale lager. It is still brewed with soft local water, Saaz hops and a traditional triple decoction mash that adds depth and a hint of caramel. The flavour is beautifully balanced between rich malt and crisp, spicy hop bitterness, complex yet very refreshing. Serve cold with a generous head.
