Heineken Original is the Dutch pilsner first brewed by Gerard Adriaan Heineken in Amsterdam in 1873. It is still made with water, malted barley, hops and the brewery's own A-yeast, which gives the beer its characteristic fruity notes. The result is a clear, golden lager with a balanced, mildly bitter flavour, light body and refreshing, crisp finish. Serve well chilled on its own or with burgers, pizza and grilled food.
