Blanton's Original was the first bourbon marketed as a single barrel, drawn from selected barrels at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Each bottle carries a hand-written barrel number and one of eight horse-and-jockey stoppers. The nose offers nutmeg and warm spice, while the palate brings dry vanilla, honey, caramel and corn. The medium finish returns to corn and nutmeg. A classic for sipping neat or over a single cube of ice.
