Blanton's Gold Edition is a single barrel Kentucky bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, bottled at a higher strength than Blanton's Original and topped with the famous horse-and-jockey stopper. The nose is powerful and dry, with honey, heavy rye, dried fruit, vanilla and chocolate. The palate brings dark fudge, citrus, oak and cream with white pepper and rye spice, leading to a long finish of toffee, apple, pecan and caramel.
