Ballantine's Hard Fired is a blended Scotch created by Master Blender Sandy Hyslop with a distinctive cask twist. Second-fill American oak barrels that already carry their original char are given a second, intense charring before being refilled, so the smokiness comes from the wood rather than from peat.
