A Cape Ruby port-style fortified wine from Backsberg, the family-owned estate in Paarl. It is made mainly from Tinta Barocca with Shiraz, and time in French oak adds spice and leather notes. Rich and full-bodied, it shows fruitcake, raisin and brandy-soaked cherry flavours with a warming, lingering finish. Enjoy it as an aperitif, with dessert or cheese, or as a winter nightcap.
