Writers' Tears Double Oak is an Irish whiskey from Walsh Whiskey, blending single pot still and single malt whiskeys. Its two oaks are American oak bourbon barrels and French oak casks that previously held Cognac, giving extra layers of fruit and spice. The nose shows sweet vanilla, cinnamon, plum and poached pear, while the palate brings citrus zest, chocolate undertones and lingering spice. An elegant dram to savour slowly.
