Boschendal Nicolas is a red blend from Boschendal, one of the Cape's oldest wine farms, made from Stellenbosch-grown fruit. It is built mainly on Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot, with small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Aromas of red cherries, plums, mulberries and cassis lead to notes of pencil shavings, dark chocolate and cigar box, with smooth tannins and good length. Serve with dry-aged steak or lamb shanks.
