This Balvenie 12 Year Old is part of The Balvenie's Curious Cask series, from the Balvenie distillery in Dufftown, Speyside. After maturation in traditional oak casks, it is finished in casks that previously held Montilla-Moriles wine from southern Spain. Expect the honeyed Balvenie character with added notes of dried fruit, nuts and gentle spice, and a smooth, lingering finish.
