Amarula is South Africa's famous cream liqueur, made from the fruit of the African marula tree. The marula fruit is fermented and distilled, and the spirit is matured in French oak before being blended with fresh cream. The result is smooth and velvety, with notes of caramel, vanilla and a gentle citrus-fruit character. Serve it chilled over ice, in coffee, in cocktails or poured over desserts.
