The Glenlivet Cellars Collection 1973
Region: Scotland (Speyside)
Nose: Bursting with big juicy sweet orange flavours combined with rich sherry sweetness and freshly baked moist gingerbread notes. The fruity flavours are very reminiscentof fruit drop boiled sweets.
Palate: Perfectly balanced, mouthwatering, fills the mouth with sweet fruity flavoursechoing the nose. Allied with these fruity orange and peach flavours is a wonderful liquorice and aniseed experience followed by a cinnamonginger tang.
Finish: Incredibly long and sweet

The 1973 Cellar Collection is a rare style of whisky thanks to its age and cask profile: a single ex-sherry butt and two refilled American oak hogsheads have been hand-selected as the absolute zenith of the stock available from that vintage and the result is a rich, sherried expression.
