This edition of Smokehead Islay single malt whisky has been treated to a stay in stout casks, imparting delicious notes of sweet, silky chocolate and vanilla to the bold, punchy peat smoke at its core. The perfect dram to follow a nice pint of stout.
Nose
Big, bold peat smoke leads the way, backed by burnt biscuits, salted chocolate, and treacle toffee.
Palate
Coastal smoke, vanilla fudge, roasted nuts, and earthy coffee grounds, with toasted marshmallows and smoked spices in tow.
Finish
Dark chocolate, biscuity malt, hefty bonfire smoke and woody spice
